Simple and easy Misanga

 Hello everyone! This time, I will introduce how to make a simple and easy Misanga. First, I will introduce the materials and tools used. The materials are colorful threads. This time I will use 3 colors. The tools are scissors, ruler and cellophane tape. I bought the materials at a 100 yen shop. There are several other types of threads on sale. Please purchase if you are interested. 

Next, I will explain how to make Misanga. I will knit a ring knot.  It is called " Wamusubi" in Japanese. There are 9 numbers in the photo. Look at the photos in order. Decide on the 3 threads of the you want to use. I used white, light blue and purple this time.  First, decide on the color and cut into 3 pieces of each color. All  are about 80 cm in length.  After cutting,  align all the threads.  

Look at the first photo.  Tie the thread at 10 cm.  I recommend using a ruler here.   Next, look at the picture numbered 1 to 4. 

1.  Put the thread of the color you want to show to the left.                                                                  2.  Place it on the rest of the thread. At this time, put it in the shape of 4.

3.  Pass the thread from the bottom and pull it out. Take a look at the photo and     

     be careful not to make a mistake.

4.  Just pull the thread up. Be careful not to pull too hard here.

Repeat these four steps for each color many times.   And repeat in order until the thread is about 10cm remaining.     

5 is a photo that repeated this. You can see that the thread is spiral. If it looks like the picture, it is a success.  Make sure each color is knitted correctly.

7. When the remaining thread is about 10 cm, tie it once.

8. Braid the remaining thread. Here, you also knit the first 10 cm thread. 

9. Finally, tie and cut again. Cut the first thread in the same way.

This completes Misanga!  I used 3 colors this time, but it is cute even if you change the colors! I think it would be interesting to change the knitting width!  There is also a way to increase the thread.  It is also recommended to give it to someone!
